Bass, Pats, lobsters, diggers, and cats

we got to see Jay hanging out in the pool....The 2011 Superbowl Champions in day 3 of training camp.....

That is what we did this weekend. All of the things in the title. So really no need to write more. We went down to Mass this weekend to visit Papa, GrammyGoldsmith, Nannie, and Upbob. I think the best way to encapsulate it all is to put our weekend in a list.
  • Visited the Bass Pro Shops; to say that it is amazing is an understatement of epic proportions. It is beautiful, stunning, and overwhelming. It makes LL Crap look like Ames. (only I bet stuff from Ames lasts longer). There is an aquarium with stripers, turtles, trout, and batmen. If you live in the area and have not checked it out yet, do so. I could not possibly describe it here and do it justice. Callum got a tacklebox and a net for his bugs and fish.
  • Walked around Patriot Place at Gillette Stadium--a series of shops and restaurants overlooking the house that Brady Built.
  • Amanda and I perused the outside of the stadium (she had never been to it) and were just awestruck. I havent been to the stadium for about ten years--the last time I went, I was with my mom and Bob and Pontisellout and it was an exhibition game vs. the Cowgirls. I dont remember much of that experience for reasons my mom and bob can tell you. Actually, I have never been to "Gillette" stadium--the games I went to were either at Foxboro Stadium or Sullivan Stadium. Yeah
  • We watched the Patriots practice! This was awesome. We didnt know they would be practicing so late on a Saturday, but they were. It was their third day of training camp. I will say without reservation that seeing people like Brady and Moss and Welker (without pads) running around made me as excited as a 13 year old girl at Justin Beiber. Concerning. But I dont care. I've definitely put "all my eggs in one basket" over the past few years, decreasing my interest in just about every sport but football. I LOVE the Patriots. Cycling would be my number two sport. Baseball, unfortunately, just bores me lately.
  • We at at 5 GUYS BURGERS, which is a famous Washington based burger joint famous for their handcut fries, huge burgers, and peanuts. Amanda said that it was most likely the best burger she had ever eaten. And she's had a lot of burgers in her life
  • Callum got to spend lots of great time with Nannie, Upbob, Papa, and GrammyGoldsmith, playing in their houses with Mickey Mouse telephones, Ernie cookie jars, antique tow trucks made by my Uncle Eddie, fishtanks, and popcorn poppers
  • On Sunday, we went to Fresh Catch for lunch, and Papa and I had the twin lobster special. Hard Shell lobsters for 17 bucks? Awesome. Callum had shrimp.
  • We visited the Village Toy Shop and Papa bought Callum a new "digger" (bulldozer). Also, Callum got his own Ernie doll so he can stop stealing Jackson's. And he got three smurfs. Thatta boy!
  • We went to Hilliards chocolate and I bought Amanda some fudge. KK, I dont know if you read this blog, but they didnt have peanut butter dinosaurs....and they havent had them for years!
  • We went for ice cream at this farm where Callum petted baby cows and talked to chickens
  • Callum got to chase Jessie the baby kitty around the house, and he got to pet Kody the mumma kitty and he purred. Yes, he.
  • An awesome and exhausting weekend!

It is disturbing.....the only other person I know who knows Justin Bibier (Sp?) is the 14 year old french girl who visited for 3 weeks. I guess that means you're selling yourself short.

Am I the only one who thinks the fat guy in the pool looks, quite literally, like a pile of coiled turd? Seriously, all that's missing is a little steam.

Dude, call me and we'll talk about steaming turds. OK, turd jokes aside, one of us really should call the other.
