1st trip to Springpond

Hi. Amanda here. On Saturday afternoon Callum took his first trip to Grammie and Gramp's house out in Mt. Vernon. He loves it already, you can tell...

Grammie and Gramp's were so excited for his visit that they put out some special snacks. When we got there we all went for a walk down the street. Callum loves to go for walks and we try to take him every day.

Here he is with Uncle Jonathan and Daddy. We were watching the Red Sox game. I don't know who loves the Sox more - Grammie or Callum. It's hard to tell.

For dinner Gramps made this delicious sauteed shrimp dish with snow peas and bowtie pasta. We also had salad and rosemary focaccia bread. For dessert we all had chocolate gelato. After dinner Callum took a nap with his Gramps while Uncle Jonathan slept on the couch and the girls cleaned up.

The only thing missing is a picture of Callum with his Grammie. Next time we'll be sure to get one. Callum can't wait to visit Springpond again!

Tonight Daddy is cooking the prime rib that Papa brought up the weekend that Callum was born. Sorry you couldn't be with us, Papa! The next couple of days will be spent getting ready for our trip down to CT to visit Auntie KK and Uncle Twon for the 4th of July. It's Callum's first trip - wish us luck!

and now for some blog "behind the scenes" . . .

this relatively short blog took amanda close to an hour to write, since every time she'd sit down to type five or more words, Mr. Poop would want to feed . . .

and now you know . . .

AND

Chris and Michelle: We'll do dinner when we get back . .either here, or at the Lilac Cottage

Excellent! Thanks for the behind the scenes...it's great to have that visual while we read. ;) Hi Callum and Thomas!

Amanda - you look great in your photos!

Jared - no photos of you grilling out?

Wow! I think Callum looks just like the Willards in those pictures. My favorite is the one of Callum and Uncle George. It looks like Callum just loves his Gramps! Have a safe trip! Just think this is practice for the trip down to Jersey! I can't wait to meet the little guy!

Love to you all and Thomas P too!
