Freezer Burn . . .

Aunt June and Uncle Bob have the most amazing assortment of groceries, drinks (soft drinks and alcohol), meats, and snacks that I have ever seen. They are very generous to let us "help ourselves" to what they have, so, yesterday, we helped June "clean out" her chest freezer in the basement. The biggest laugh of the day was the fact that we found what seemed to be well over a hundred random egg rolls (probably from when the Challenger exploded) at the bottom of the freezer. This is probably funnier for us that it is for you reading it, but we had a good time. . . .

I have eaten 5 of those egg rolls so far . . .

Things have been going well here. Amanda and I are enjoying spending time with Emma. She keeps us busy either playing her favorite game "Zingo," or doing activities in her workbooks. I think we have played Zingo, on average twice and hour. And, last night, Emma and I spent about an hour on her handwriting and number writing skills. It is fun teaching a younger kid how to read and write--but I still think elementary school teachers are a special breed of animal; something I am not. But at least we are getting good practice for our kids . . .

Matilda is still hanging out, depositing heat drops just about everywhere. She is cute, for a duck.

More to come later . . .

I triple-dog dare you to start eating those egg rolls by the handful.
