Greetings From Asbury Park!

Actually, its Edgwater Park, but you've got to appreciate the Springsteen reference.

After dropping Thomas Pee off at Nannie camp at around midnight last night, we just decided to drive through the night en route to New Jersey. It was quite the experience, and it was a lot of fun; its interesting to see the types of people on the road at 2, 3, and 4 in the morning. They are mostly truckers, however. We made lots of stops at lots of shady rest stops, drank lots of coffee, headed over the Tappan Zee bridge at 3:30, and headed down the Jersey Turnpike at the beginning of the 5 AM rush. We had breakfast at the Golden Dawn diner (I call it the Golden Crap diner) at about 6, and then drove down the road to Aunt June and Uncle Bob's house at about 7. We slept from 8-2, and then just relaxed, read our books, and caught up with family.

We are glad to be here, and this looks to be a fantastic family reunion, although we miss Grandmom, Grandpop, and Sport Jonathan. I get to spend time with Abby, my favorite dog of all time (after Chelsea, of course!!!) who is my little 170 pound Newfie. The pool looks gorgeous, and it is very hot. I'll keep you updated during the week on all our adventures . . .including the duck that has chosen to make its home in the Dovey backyard pool and deck. More on that later . . .
